Collaboration in Action

Turning shared vision into coordinated action.

Collaboration across ETEN takes shape through three interconnected layers:

01

Steering Committee

Composed of implementing organization CEOs and resourcing partners, this group provides strategic alignment around a shared agenda and common goals to eradicate Bible poverty.

02

Working Groups

Often temporary and task-specific teams from across the alliance addressing key areas such as translation, data and prayer. This is where strategy becomes action.

03

Affinity Tables

Multi-agency partnerships that bring together experts and organizations to accelerate progress in specialized areas, such as Oral and Sign Language Bible translation.

Together, these groups ensure decisions are unified, communication is clear and progress is shared.

Prayer is Our Strategy

Before we plan, we pray.

Bible translation is more than a project—it is a partnership with God.
Prayer is not just part of our strategy; it is the strategy.

We depend on Him for wisdom, unity and breakthrough. Every plan begins with seeking His direction, and every step forward is sustained through prayer.

Across the alliance, partners unite daily in prayer for translators, communities and the global Church—believing that progress without prayer is just motion.

Prayer fuels the mission. God brings the increase.

Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.

The ETEN Innovation Lab

The Innovation Lab exists to incubate, validate and deploy breakthrough ideas across the alliance that remove barriers, improve collaboration and help us reach the world’s most remote language groups.

Innovation bridges the proven with the possible—strengthening what works while exploring what’s next.

Because when God inspires the work, progress multiplies beyond what we could ever imagine.

Innovation That Accelerates Progress

Exploring new ways to reach every language group, faster.

Every breakthrough begins with God.

His power fuels creativity, equips people and multiplies progress. Through His Spirit, alliance members are empowered with wisdom and boldness to pursue new ways of bringing His Word to the world.

Within that God-given momentum, ETEN’s unified structure creates space for bold experimentation and shared learning.

Across the alliance, partners are testing and scaling new approaches—from AI-assisted translation and open-source tools to church-led translation models and real-time collaboration technology.

Emerging Paths Forward

Key approaches gaining momentum across the alliance.

As the alliance build momentum toward the All Access Goals, three areas of innovation have emerged as key accelerants for reaching the remaining languages. These are not simply promising ideas for individual organizations to explore in isolation. They are strategic opportunities that call for coordinated action, shared learning and alliance-level discernment.

01

AI-Assisted Translation

Artificial intelligence is becoming a powerful force multiplier in Bible translation. When developed collaboratively, AI-assisted tools can reduce timelines, improve efficiency and accelerate work in at-risk translation efforts while maintaining the care and quality required for Scripture translation.

02

Church-Based Bible Translation

Church-based translation emphasizes local ownership and participation. By equipping churches and believers to lead translation work, this approach strengthens sustainability, deepens community engagement and helps ensure Scripture is rooted in the life of the local Church.

03

Multimodal/Oral-First Translation

For many communities, Scripture must be heard and shared—not only read. Oral-first approaches honor spoken storytelling traditions and expand access through audio and other spoken formats. Organizations such as Faith Comes By Hearing, Spoken Worldwide, YWAM and the others are helping lead this growing movement by developing methods that allow Scripture to be translated and shared in ways people naturally communicate and learn.
